Zola World

Our good homie, sick photographer, and master of getting weird, Zola Brusso sent us some flix from his recent island hopping excursion to Indonesia. These are from Bali(Balangan), Lombok(DP,Mauwi), and Telos Islands.

Not well known by most, the Telos are where the ballers go to score epic surf and escape the riff raff in the Mentawais. Zola camped out at Telos Island Lodge, an exclusive fly-in-fly-out surf camp located in the Batu islands, a group of islands approximately 180 nautical miles from the city of Padang on the island of Sumatra. The Batu group sits between Siberut, the northern most island of the Mentawai group and the island of Nias. This area of Northern Sumatra is considered one of Indonesia’s last surfing frontiers. Damn Z, it must be nice…
