We scored a Go Pro Board Cam from Santa Claus this year. Unfortunately on the third day of use a Bwarevillian pulled in too deep and lost it! But here are a couple of shots we got before the loss. The Bigger board is a 6′5” Bali Joe Custom triple winger stinger channel board. And the short board is a 5′2” Chuck Andrus custom single fin.

Since 2002, VA rapper Mad Skillz has done a year end wrap up track which sums up all the major events that happened throughout the year from politics, national and international news and, of course, the music industry. Here’s 2009 and welcome to 2010!

We’d like to take the time out to big up one of our designers, Landon Iwamura who has been our main designer since the beginning. He’s really helped to take our crazy, out there concepts and ideas and turn them into something real. Landon is also responsible for cranking out flyers for many of the concert and club events here in Hawaii. Here’s a few samples of his work. Mele Kelikimaka…this is what I got from Santa!

This past Sunday we shot the third and final installment of the Where’s Waldo print ad campaign right in front of B-Ware headquarters at Rocky Point up here on the N. Shore. Our theme this time was birthday beach party gone bad. Some new faces and some Waldo Ad vets showed for the shoot, which turned out to be an amazing finishing piece of the campaign. The ad will run in the next Contrast magazine. We can’t show it yet, but here’s a video recap done by our friends at KJK Productions. Thanks to everyone who came out.

This past Tuesday one of the rarest and most prestigious surf contests went off right in our backyard. An estimated 20,000 people crammed into our tiny beach community that is the North Shore of Oahu for the 25^th Annual Quiksilver in Memory of Eddie Aikau invitational surf competition.


The event is held in memory of one of Hawaii’s late great watermen, Eddie Aikau who passed in 1978 while trying to save fellow crew members of the Hokule’a, after the boat had capsized 12 miles off Hawaii shores. The Eddie happens at Waimea Bay and only goes off when wave heights exceed 25ft and conditions are perfecto. It has only been held seven times since it started 25 years ago.







In the end big wave charger from California Greg Long took first place. This great recognition was rightfully deserved. Dude has seriously been on a mission the past few years, along with his buddy from South Africa Twiggy Baker, to discover and surf GIANT waves across the globe.


The energy was intense the whole day. People were STOKED!

It was an epic day for us. We watched 28 of the world’s best take off on 50ft+ bombs from the backyard of Doc Dilcher’s house at Waimea point, where an Eddie party was going down.
